i like mine,it's my carry piece.
put some thin wilson grips, mmc nite sites and some
skate board tape on frontstrap.
i carry it in a paddle holster, shirt untucked.
it seems to like the speer 230grs.
more accurate than i thought it would be.:)
enjoy!

p.s. not even a hiccup yet!

Me, too, like mine a lot!. I put on Ashley Big Dots and rosewood grips. Mine eats everything, but I carry it on a M/D Enterprises BS-2 @4 o'clock, stoked with Corbon 185 +P, Fed PD 165, or Silvertip 185's. Emminently reliable, scary accurate for a short snort. Enjoy!

I'e got a question about that gun. I have been hearing alot of GREAT things about it. I am yet to see one in person. In the back of the handle, is that a de-cocker? Or is that just part of the grip. Lastly can you get it in 9mm? Thanks for any info that you provide would be greatly apprecieated.

Jay C, On the back side of the gun is a thumb saftey when activated the gun can not be fired. If thats what you are talking about And no they do not make it in 9mm that I am aware of.

I've got one, I like it, it doesn't kick as much as you would think, and yes it's accurate for a snubby 45!

It also comes in 40.

Can't think of anything about my Kimber UC I don't like. It's an extremely easy gun to carry and conceal with enough accuracy, power, and looks to qualify as my favorite handgun.

I love mine. I have over thirty-something handguns and this little gun certainly ranks near the top in the accuracy department--amazing! It's every bit as accurate as my Colt Gold Cup. I haven't done a thing to customize it; I think it's fine as is.

Mine goes with me everywhere it is legal to carry in NC

I've had it on my hip every day for the last two years, it is way more accurate than I am, I've shot probably in excess of 3,000 rounds through it, mostly my own LRN reloads, and haven't had more than a couple stovepipes that I can remember, both when I'd been shooting for hours, was getting tired, so I think it was operator error.

I had a pal who had trouble taking his apart and putting it back together, but I can field-strip and reassemble it in about 3 minutes with my eyes closed.

My wife says she isn't sure who I love more, my baby Kimber or her, and that she doesn't care to find out.

Did I mention that I like the gun? :D

PS: In the interests of Truth in Commentary, there is one annoying thing... the damned gun basically doesn't lock back on an empty mag when you are shooting it. It stopped locking back about my 300th round, and I meant to try to fix it, but keep forgetting. I use three different brands of mags, doesn't seem to make a difference. I guess I should get it fixed at some point... Maybe the slide-stop is screwed up? I dunno. I just shoot it dry, then reload and keep on shooting.

SHORT KIMBER EXPERIENCE

I've had a good number of these in my possession for individual load development (specific gun specific ammo).
They have all been uncannily accurate and reliable.

I have zero interest in a small 1911, but Kimber makes a real nice example.

I had a lot of problems with FTFs with the factory mag (every brand of ammo, every shape, every quality). They pretty much went away once a Wilson was procured. Just a little heads up if you encounter a similar issue.

I had problems where the slide would lock open with rounds still in the magazine. It doesn't seem to reappear as often anymore.

I also had my magazine release break in half at about the 1,800 round mark. That was a bit discouraging.

It is quite accurate, however. Good luck.
