I have a new Stainless Kimber Ultra Carry...have about 150/200 rounds.. sent downrange..lite hand loads and Remington FMJ..perfect operation.. groups less than 2" at 20 yards.
PROBLEM
The barrel link is somewhat abraided on both sides as well
as a slight amount on the barrel link mount..there are no indications of wear on any other frame part... including the recoil spring guide rod/and/or the rod backplate.
I am wondering if this is just some minor barrel misalingment that is causing some wearing in at this area durning lock up and will stop...or do I have another problem of some sort..I am not experenced with short auto actions..so any advice would be helpful... the barrel lock up is like a bank vault... and shooting is to point of aim.
