Kimber take down tool...much easier

I try to be helpful when I come across something that others can benefit from, howbeit, many may already know this. For the Kimber owners that hate that little wire take down tool...there is a better way. I found this plastic tool that makes take down a cinch. http://www.ndzperformance.com/category-s/1921.htm

I ordered the long one and I am not associated in any way with this company, just found something that makes Kimber life easier.

I usually just used a paperclip with about a 1/4" bend at the end.

Been using the NDZ for years great tool and keeps everything lined up for re assembly

While the breakdown tool may be a handy device, the key to Kimber is doing it often enough that any handy paperclip will do. As the owner of 7 different Kimbers, I can state it takes me no longer to break down, clean, and reassemble one of my Kimbers than any other 1911 gun.
