Kimber grip safety catches

When i engage the grip safety from an angle the safety catches but functions. I only noticed this when practicing for IDPA, if you use a holster and engage straight down it feels fine. But if you pick it up off of a table and engage the grip safety you can feel it catch on the right side then slip into place. You guys have any ideas?

Not properly fitted to the gun. Needs fixin. By you, a smith.....or if stock and relatively new, by the manufacturer. That kinda bucks, no excuse for that kind of workmanship.

Are you putting your finger on the trigger when this happens. If you put even light pressure on the trigger and push the grip safety at the same time you may feel a click which is the safety disengageing.I adjusted the sear spring on my Springfield and it does the same thing.Hope this helps.
