Kimber finish

First post...

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry and have a couple questions.
It has some holster wear that I want to touch up. The finish is a slightly textured matte black, not blued. What is this finish and how do I touch it up?

Will this accept any single stack mag for .45ACP or must it be Kimber?

I'm not sure of the finish, but I wouldn't touch it up, a little honest wear isn't a bad thing and you'd likely make it worse with a mismatched touch up.

You could always have it refinished if it bothers you.

It will accept any 45 ACP mag. Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat, MecGar. Any quality mag will work just fine.

If it is the Kimber Ultra Carry II Two Tone the slide is actually blued with a polished sides.
I have a product called G96 Gun Blue that touches them up.
The flat finish on the top is almost like a phosphate and the G96 blends right in.

@Krunchnik I have used Brownells Oxpho-blue with good results on other arms.
I found the g96 online for $20 and under, is that better than Oxpho?

The pistol is just a Ultra Carry, not II. The slide does seem to have a smoother finish but I think that is from holster wear. The lower definitely looks almost parkerized but black
