Since you asked for photos...here are some of my 1911's.....
http://thefiringline.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=83033&d=1344469891
one at bottom is the Wilson CQB 5" .45 acp with black armor tuff finish ( my carry gun )...
next one is an all stainless Wilson Protector 5" in 9mm ...its about 7 yrs old now, bought it new, it has about 75,000 rds thru it ....its run 100% since it was new / only issue I had was a broken extractor ( Wilson fixed it under warranty at about 40,000 rds )...../ CQB is about 10 yrs old - never had an issue and it ran 100% right out of box. Neither Wilson has any creep or slack in trigger....Protector in 9mm breaks at about 3.5 lbs / CQB at 4 lbs..which is what I specd when I ordered them. Replacement cost on both of them are over $3K these days...and I'm only 63, but I expect both of these guns to run for well over 250,000 rds with no issues - but they have a lifetime warranty if they don't...( except springs of course - which I change about every 5,000 rds )....
---------
gun at upper left is Les Baer monolith - 9mm ....it took 6 months to break it in / I have never been happy with the gun / fit and finish is not that good.
other 2 are Kimbers - a Gold Combat Stainless II our of their true custom shop .45 acp - decent gun not a great gun / and a Tactical Pro II 4" alloy frame in 9mm ..decent gun not a great gun...
---------------
The 2 Wilsons are easily in the top 5 guns in my safe....along with probably a Sig X-Five with the adj trigger the L-1 model in .40 S&W / a Freedom Arms single action revolver in .357 Mag in a 4 3/4" octagonal barrel...and maybe a S&W model 27-2 4" Nickel finish in .357 Mag...( round out the top 5 handguns I own )....the Les Baer, an Ed Brown kobra carry in .45 acp, neither Kimber pictured ..will make my own top 5 in my safe....( maybe I'd put them in the top 10 )...not sure...
