Kimber .22 conversion for 1911

Does anyone have experience with one of these? Any tips on care and feeding? I was given one at the weekend in exchange for some professional services and wonder how it performs.

Mine works just fine though it's not terribly accurate - 5" groups at 25 yards. not too bad.
If it starts jamming up it's probably due to powder residue. One solution I've found for all semi auto .22's is to shoot blazers. They use some kind of weird propellant that just turns to "talc" and blows away. Blazers are cheap but accurate enough for informal shooting and training.

These are made for Kimber by Ciener. Same thing for the Colt and Wilson versions. Not match grade, but good for up close and personal IDPA-type practice.

The best are Marvel, but they're substantially more expensive. ($350+)

Thanks guys. I don't need bullseye accuracy. Just planning on using it for cheap practice: draw - one shot, target transition etc.
