This case occurred in nearby Philadelphia (last year, if I recall) and stirred things up for awhile.

At least her victims warrented some attention in this article, though one hopes (it is unlikely) that anyone who helped mold Miriam into a monster - if blame can be levelled at individuals - will be held accountable.

One thing for sure - I don't want little Miriam "rehabbed" enough to ever be set free in society, unless her caretakers are willing to pay for whatever sorrow she spreads. Whether or not an individual such as Miriam can be held accountable for her actions is irrelevant; the fact that she currently and likely always will represent a threat to the human beings around her is the critical issue here.

The way she answered the question with "I take things out by being bad" or whatever she said, sounds like she's been coached by these quack shrinks.

I've noticed a lot of these incidents happen while someone is on "medication". Not that long ago crazy people didn't behave like this. I think this mind altering crap these quacks give people may do more harm than good. A coworker of mine is going through a nightmare with her grandchild. Her daugher shopped around for a shrink that would put the kid on "medication", in spite of several pediatricians that said she did not need it. This has started a rash of wierd behaviour that in turn results in more "medication". Now the child is peeing in school and doing other bizzare things, all while supposably in the care of a "psychiatrist". Actually I don't think the shrink actually saw the kid, the mom told the shrink stuff based on what she's read that she knew would result in getting the drug of choice for the kid. The grandparents talked to the shrink about the new strange behavior, wondering if she needed the drugs as this behaviour didn't start till the kid was on the drugs. They were chasitised for questioning his judgement and the medication upped. Now the kid pees in school.

I hate those quacks. I hate the way the whole country unwaiveringly and unquestioningly trusts them.
