Kids calling in arty...or at least parents?

Given the number of times that I read about kids de briefed or treated or detained without parental knowledge or concent, I wonder if this would represent a workable contingency:

give your kid a cellphone and a cell phones for yourself+spouse. If threatened with something unsavory, the kid can call in parents. If prevented from doing so, the kid would give perps a card informing tham that they will be charged with kidnapping, assault and conspiracy to commit those unless they cease and desist.

A description of that plan would be filed with an attorney who, while parents are enroute, would communicate with local LEOs to prevent school officials from preempting with their own spin and intercepting the parents enroute.

(Homeschooling would be a better strategic solution...we are talking tactics here)

THoughts, ideas, yay/nay?

I like your homeschooling idea much better. It works for me.

Sounds like a good idea to me Oleg. I’m pretty sure that there will be opposition from the “powers that be”. If the kid can stand up to the pressure, go for it.

I have no kids of my own, just curious if there's anything obvious that school authorities can do in retaliation..

I know you're talking about situations other than just school, Oleg, but realistically, government schools likely create 80%+? 90+%? of the situations you're talking about.

With that assumption, I have one piece of advice for all: GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS AND INTO PRIVATE SCHOOLS OR HOME SCHOOL.

There, I feel better now.

Seriously, they are likely being indoctrinated in ways you don't want down at government school. Vote for a voucher system and inject a much needed dose of consumer control into the system. We have a de facto voucher system with all kinds of government grants and loans for higher education. Why can't this work in K-12? Only because it doesn't align with the agenda of the NEA union and the Democrats, who both want control over you and your kids. Kinda like guns - it's not about education, it's about control.

Oleg, I also like this proposal.
My little one(adopted Grandson) has been having some troubles with a few of the others in his class. I've repeatedly talked to the teacher, and pricipal in charge of the school. To no avail. Last month, a couple girls were goofing, and one of them threw a snow/iceball at him. He took it in the mouth, chipped two teeth, and a split lip. Unfortunately, one tooth was a permanent one. I was super-pi$$ed when I found out, and raised all kind of hell about their responsibilities, etc.. I demanded that the parents of the girls' pay for the dental vist, and repairs.
I've since found out that both parties parents are Title XIX, or low income, State aid situation, and won't pay a damn dime for this...
Another example of the class of people being spawned in this country. They feel someone owes them something, and refuse to accept responsibility for their actions, or their childrens actions. Meanwhile they're living off the taxes the machine steals from the wife and I, because we choose to work, and pay our bills, and accept the terms of life.

Anyway, I went to the school, since they have insurance for this occurence, and was told they also won't pay for this. I've spoken with an attorney about this, and it's between them now. So much for Government owned/controlled schools.

Next semester, it's private school all the way from here on out, or until I move to another State.

Best Regards,
Don
