Missed out on a nice SA-GAW stock for my 1944 M1 rifle the other day. I have a really nice USGI stock on it, and I'm fond of it since I resurrected it from a piece of black grungy firewood into a pretty piece of furniture, but the cartouches were gone decades ago.
This one I didn't get has nice crisp cartouches, no rebuild stamps, very nice grain and very few dings, from a reputable seller, he's no faker. The icing? 185 bucks. I almost fell out of my chair. The buyer got a very good deal on a very nice stock.
