Anyone see Jay Leno last night? Alan Keyes was the second guest after a movie actor. I must say he is one dynamic speaker and Leno didn't throw him off his thoughts. Didn't get to speak enough though, the movie guy and his trailer were more important.
One thing about Keyes, not only is he a good speaker the man can sing. He sang a song that he wrote but was cut off into commercial break.
Anyone know why he didn't make the PA. Primaries?

Happy Shooting :)

As in, why he didn't show? Beats me. Of course his candidacy is being written off by the GOP, since he's a...
(flourish of trumpets)
Non-Viable Candidate!

The most valuable part of the interview was that he did not rule out the veep position. He reiterated that he would not take it if it would compromise his values in any way. That seemed to be the message he wanted to make public. Be assured Leno and his guests will discuss in advance any topics the guest wants to be brought up.

He will offered the VP position's the day after the Olympian Pantheon descends to Earth on Chariots of Fire.

I don't think so. Better try to be a singer, Alan.

The VP will be some standard GOP dude.
Hopefully, not a Quayleoid or Kempian.
Get someone with brains this time.

The only black guys that have a chance to be Bush's Veep pick are JC Watts or Colin Powell (probably Powell before Watts). Keyes has the same popularity index as Clarence Thomas.

A black VP would probably sinch a win for Bush. He is nearly even with Gore now, and with the black vote on his side, it would push him over the top.

Powell has been consistent and clear for years -- he doesn't want the VP slot. I think that Watts as a running mate might well sew up the presidency for Bush, although parties usually want a ticket with a bit more geographic diversity than Texas and Oklahoma (the combination of Arkansas and Tennessee in the last election may have undone that bit of conventional wisdom).

I'll believe that Keyes has a chance to be on the ticket when I see Satan throwing snowballs.

I have heard speeches by all the above . In order of smarts ...Keyes/Powell tie , Watts , Bush/Gore tie . Charisma ...Keyes , Watts , Powell/Bush/Gore tie . Who would I believe ? Hint : not the 2 you hear about every day .
If Keyes or Watts are asked to be V.P. mat'l they will be villified by the black leadership . If Powell is asked they will say "it is unfortunate" and leave it alone . They would bad mouth Keyes and Watts all day long since they are not in the dems pocket like the other black leaders . What Sharpton , Jackson and others are afraid of is a black getting national stature that is NOT one of their lap dogs .

I second para's comments. Blacks in Democrat leadership positions don't care about the black population, only their own power.

Keyes is the only adult in the race. He calls idiocy and nonsense by their proper names, and doesn't suffer the morally depraved gladly. This makes him a menace to contemporary American cultural iconography.
