Oops, my bad
Now I'm thinking that no, the bill he voted for would only have banned semi-auto shotguns, not pumps.
BUT, otoh,
the bill he voted for would have BANNED SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUNS! Like Brownings, Benellis, Winchesters, Remingtons, you name it.
And no, any new ban if it happens (let's hope not), would likely be the same way as the recently departed HDR ban - it would ban manufacter - not possession, ownership, or transfer (sale, gift) - which grandfathers in the current guns. I could see that the slippery slope progression that could happen, and has already happened in Calif I believe is that first the MANUFACTURE and/or SALE is banned. Then, later, after the bullfrogs are used to the new temperature of the water, the TRANSFER of the subject guns are banned. (i.e. you can keep your grandfathered gun and mags, but you can't sell them or give them to anyone else). The last step, that requires confiscation to enforce, and would likely not happen for a long time, and would likely cause a lot of fighting and bloodshed, is the ban on POSSESSION or OWNERSHIP.
