Just bought this rifle. Looking into another mag. Now it says it can use either the Glock22 or the Glock 23 mag. What is the difference between these 2 mags?

Glock 22 is the "standard" size .40 S&W glock and its standard magazine holds 15 rounds.
Glock 23 is the "compact" size .40 S&W glock and its standard magazine holds 13 rounds.

For your gun there is no difference at all other than how many rounds you can fit in the magazine.

I have a sub-2k 9mm glock and I just bought a bunch of after-market 33 and 17 round magazines. Does the trick nicely for me and makes for a very fun day at the range if I have them pre-loaded. Can put over 200 rounds down range before I have to reload.

These are the ones I got:

The 33 rnd ones loaded well and shot very well. The 17s mostly had very strong springs and were hard to load, but they do lighten up over time. They all fed and shot perfectly though.

To clarify this further:

There are two different .40 S&W Sub-2k's that use Glock magazines. If you have the Glock 22 version then you can only use Glock 22 magazines or longer (15 rnds or more). If you have the Glock 23 version then you can use Glock 23 magazines and longer (13 rnds or more), which includes Glock 22 magazines.

I just checked my gun and it doesn't say which one I have anywhere on it. The factory magazine doesn't help either since it comes with a 10rnd to make it California legal. Hopefully it says on your original box. If it doesn't, then the simplest thing to do is buy a Glock 22 magazine (15 rnds), which is 100% guaranteed to work. Then see if it fits exactly right or hangs out the bottom a little. If it hangs out then you have a Glock 23 version and can use all mags. If it doesn't hang out then you have the Glock 22 version and can only use Glock 22 magazines or longer.

just buy the 30 rounders. the more violence you can throw downrange the better:rolleyes: Just got one myself. fun little bastards

I agree with the above....

I got a few Koren 31 round mags and it is fun to throw a hundred rounds downrange!!!! :D

Have fun and shoot safe!
