I have been very very interested in these rifles but havent had much luck finding to much info out on them.

Are they reliable?
How do they shoot?
Pros and Cons?

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks

Depends on the mags
Great
Pros: folds and can be locked in folding position, happy sticks, eats all kinds of crappy ammo
Cons: OEM fore ends are goofy, sights are meh

The keltec I am looking at is a 9mm and the seller said he will throw in 2 glock mags for it.

As for any mechanical issues or anything else?

My version takes Sig 226 (and also CZ 75) mags. If I was do get another, I’d go with the Glock mag version. Savage1r summed it up pretty good. They work, I’ve never had a malfunction and shot just about any 9mm I put my hands on and it actually is used to shoot any crappy ammo that I don’t want to put through my pistols.

I did put a Blue Force Gear (not sure if they’re still made) front sight assembly on mine…uses an AR-type post and is much more durable. I’m always leery about the rear peep sight breaking, but it’s held up fin and if you store it folded, it’s protected. The trigger pull is extremely heavy. There are tutorials on smoothing it out, but I haven’t. Aside from the heavy pull, accuracy out to 100 meters is excellent for mine. I guess they have railed fore-end options now. I added a piece of rail underneath the bottom grip on mine for the use of a pistol grip/light combo which works well.

All in all, if you’re looking for a compact pistol caliber carbine which could also match your CCW mags (if you carry a Glock); accept that 100 meters is about maximum for effectiveness and can live with the stock sights, it’s does quite well for the niche it fills.

i tested one out last time i went to the range, i was able to consistently hit a 2 liter bottle at 100 yards. thats good enough for me, i now have one on layaway. (glock mags seem the way to go due to their availablity, cost, and the 32 round ones too.)

Love mine - I have the 40 cal - Glock.

So far it's been great. I added the Ketec extended stock - adds about 1".

And probably will get the buffer tube cover (Tackticool?). They are reasonably priced products and have great reviews.

And just get it - if you wait it may be gone!

Pro - it folds!

Cons - I hate that front sight.

The Sub 2000 is a lot of fun to shoot. Its accurate (especially if you improve the sights) cheap to shoot and very little recoil. It also fits in a computer case or back pack. On some you can change what magazines they will hold by changing the mag catch. They are not very exspensive and as far as I'm concerned the pros out weigh the cons.

On the other hand they are difficult to clean inside and you can't get at the trigger group without taking out the screws holding the receiver together. There is no last shot bolt hold open. The tube you rest your cheek on definately needs a tube cover. The sights need improving and its difficult to mount a red dot or scope and still have it fold.

I took care of the sights by mounting a AK47 scope mounting rail on the side and put a quick release scope mount on it. The only other thing I would change if I could is the last shot bolt hold open. I don't know why Kel-Tec didn't put one on it since the mags are already set up for it.

I will either get the Glock mag one or build a much much more expensive lonewolf AR carbine. Everywhere I have read about them they are reviewed pretty well. I can never find any on the local used market, so they can't be too bad.

Does anyone know where or what website has the Keltec sub2000 9mm that uses the glock mags? The guy that I was gonna buy mine from backed out and wants to keep it now.
