KelTec P-32s - Has Production Caught Up with Demand?

I've been planning to get a KelTec P-32 for awhile, but they never seemed to be available, and prices were high on the few I saw. Seems that demand had far outstripped KelTec's ability to produce these little .32s. Anyway, I've noticed that a local store seems to have had one on display for a few weeks now (I don't know if its the SAME one, but they always have one). This leads me to believe that maybe the shortage is over.

Are P-32s becoming common elsewhere? Any good wholesale sources (I have a friendly FFL who will order for me)? I want the hard chrome version, so will probably have to order it (I've never seen one of these in a store).

I wonder if KelTec will make a .380 version like Seacamp is doing? Their locked breach design should lend itself to using the more powerful cartridge. Single-action capable, stainless or titanium, and .22 LR versions would also be welcome options. And better sights would be nice. But I still think the P-32s are the best gun in their category as they are.

I don't think the drought is over yet. I went to a large gun show two weeks ago and they were very scarce. I found one like you want, the chromed slide model. Its the first one that I have actually seen. I bought it on the spot. I paid $240.00 tax included for it. From what I have seen that is an outstanding price. The dealer gave me a LEO discount, I have been told that this model sell for $350.00 retail. It is a neat little pistol and I bought a Ken Campbell custom pocket holster for it. That makes quite a combination, very flat, just like a wallet. I was offered $400.00 for mine and did not sell it because I know that I can't replace it.

The fact that the chrome slides are even being made tells me that the supply is catching up. They have been up to speed of 1000 guns a month since January. Prices on the regular ones were running $299, $4 above retail. I have seen them everywhere for $269 recently. By summer they should be down to the $210 range. Have your FFL holder contact RSR and place an order. He will be put on a waiting list and it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks before he gets a call that one is available. If you wait until summer, contact Sports South for a good price.
