My kel tek p3at jams a bit when it is the slightest bit dirty. Besides keeping it clean is there anything I can do? The jam is a failure to eject.

Fluff and Buff

Yup, hang on tight.

My Kel-Tec needed a fluff and buff, Google it up, it is a "thing"

Pretty sure the issue with the P 11 I bought was the feed ramp. A couple hours doing a fluff and buff made a jam o matic in to a 100% reliable pistol.

I used a rubber polishing point in my trusty Dremel for the feed ramp. I was done when it looked like the surface was glass.

Kel-Tec is awesome, I don't mind finishing up what the factory did not do when the price paid reflects the need for some finish work.

Do the fluff and buff, it's not difficult. Grip that little pistol like you mean it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I did polish the feed ramp.

Will have to learn what more there is to "fluff and buff."

Life is good.

A failure to eject is usually ammo related. Change ammo.
Hanging on to it will help too. The thing weighs a tick more than half a pound. A 95 grain bullet at 900 FPS out of a 6/10ths of a pound recoils at 5.4 ft-lbs.
"...made a jam-o-matic in to a..." You shouldn't have to do any of that to a brand new pistol. A trigger job is normal, but finishing the innards is not.
