Hi guys, im thinking in one of those babys, do you know if this handgun kel tek p17 can fire .22 stingers ?

Had mine for about a month. Never tried stingers, but its eaten every bulk ammo i've fed it flawlessly. Very fun gun! I'm intrigued by it's simplicity. Very easy to maintain. It's not a super target gun but as a plinker it does that in spades.

It's Keltec.
There is no reason the gun wouldn't shoot Stingers.

I have one and yes, they fire Stingers just fine. Great gun!

I ran a mag or two through mine, but no need to stress it too much.

Stingers don't stress anything. They are the same pressure as all the other .22 LR cartridges.

Stingers are basically a LR case and charge with a .22 short bullet. They may be loud, but they can be safely shot in any gun suitable for regular .22 LR.

If this is the case then it should be a lower pressure round. A lighter bullet with the same charge as a heavier bullet will produce less pressure.

Regardless, none of the .22LR "hyper" rounds are higher pressure than standard .22 LR, to my knowledge.
I'm happy to be proven wrong.
