I am mfg. a barrel stabilizer for the SU16 B
I wanted to know if anyone has had the same problems of barrel heating causing inaccuracy like the Mini 14 / 30s ?

I have a prototype almost finished and I'm just looking for opinions, is it ugly, will it work, ???

Any info. is appreciated.

I strut changes accuracy by add ridgity to the barrel, but yet will also change harmonics, greatly effecting cold bore shot. If you want consistant accuracy over the broad range of shooting, go with strut. If you are more concerned about accuracy on cold bore, do away with it. This is an assault weapon not intended for high accuracy shooting. It's designed to be efficent enough to hit a man in the chest at a 300 yard distance. It will do that even when it is hot. I do however, like your design, and it does appear efficent and would help with the ridgity of the barrel.

I agree on the intended use and intended accuracy.
However, this gun, like the Minis has a far to thin barrel, and when it heats up, the groups fall off target dramatically, according to those who contactd me to build this kit. I plan to test it this week without the kit, then later with the kit & I'll post the results for those interested.

I'll let you all know if it will hit center mass at 100 yards cold bore (the range I go to only has a max. 100 yds).

Your assumption that it will hit center mass at 300 yards on the first shot is a good advertisment for Kel-Tec.

Like I said, I'll post results later from my testing.
Have a good one all.
