Kel-tec su 16 won't fire

The issue was fixed by kel-tec but my questions went unanswered. I took the rifle apart cleaned it and reassemled it. The rifle would cycle a round manually and eject it properly but when I went to the range wouldn't fire; I was able to see the hammer strike the back of the pin but no bang. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have caused this?
 
Firing pin choked in the channel from some sort of debris is the likely culprit. A short firing pin out of spec is probably not the culprit. Could be that you broke off the tip of the firing pin and it couldn't reach the primer.

Choked channel or broken pin are the likely answers.
