Kel-Tec P32 arrived today - say hello to my little friend!

Woo Hoo! Today my chrome-slide P32 arrived. I loaded it up with Fiocchi ammo and headed to the farm to test it out. 50 rounds, no failures whatsoever. And accurate? Well, I was firing off rounds at silhouette targets and it's easy to keep them all in the cranio-ocular region at 10 yards. Rapid fire gets a little tricky, but if you hold on to the little booger tight you can keep them all in the head. It's everything I hoped it would be. Now I need to get a stainless belt clip for carry, a NAA guardian finger extension, and an extra mag and I'll be all set.

One more thing - you'll love this - as I was popping off rounds, a huge crow settled in a tree about 25 yards away, for some odd reason. Usually you can't get within a mile of them. I decided to take a pot shot at him. Held the little P32 with both hands, really tight, lined up the sights and squeezed - there's one less crow in the world. My bud, who was quite impressed with the gun's reliability and ease of shooting, almost dropped over when he saw that crow fall out of the tree. He's going to start looking for one of his own tomorrow!

So far - 50 shots without a failure, one asassinated crow, and one P32 convert. Today was a good day.

Holla if ya hear me.

Thanks again Oleg!

Big Al,
What did I tell you?
I knew you'd love it! Isn't it great to have a pistol that's so light you can carry ALL the time?
I can read the delight in your post.

Picked my P32 up on Tuesday. Picked it up for $214.95 at a local shop here in Utah. Love this gun. It was totally out of the blue that I was able to get it. I had called these guys about a month ago to see if they had one. They did not, but told me that they would call me if they got any. Monday morning they called and I flew down to buy it on Tuesday. What a great gun.

By the way, the shop is called Rangemasters, and is located in Springville, Utah. I have done business with these guys on a number of occasions and they are solid business people. They really go out of their way for their customers. If anybody in Utah is looking for guns, give them a call. I can't recommend them enough.

Nice, congratulations- I wish I could go outside and shoot at crows (black birds, whichever) with my P32. But the SWAT team would probably be at my house in like 5 minutes (live in NY). I'm jealous, but seriously- use it well.

Congrats! I sure enjoy mine. Put over 50 rounds through it day before yesterday and had a good time.

What I want to know is how you keep them holes so close together? I am happy to be on the cardboard IPSC at 50 feet. How do you keep it on the head at - how many yards? I'm not bad at 7-8 yds. As for the crow, let's see you do that again! Enjoy!

Ragin Cajun,

I'll never again pull off a shot like the one I put on the crow yesterday. I must have been living right or something. It was pure luck!

The grip I tried on the P32 yesterday was the same one I use on my Glock 19. It's absolutely rock solid for me, but I have small hands so it might not work as well for you. I'll try to explain it.

*With your right hand, grab the gun solidly, with the web of your hand as high up on the grip as possible. Lay your index finger down the frame above the trigger guard, and tuck your pinky under the mag plate. Your middle finger should be right under the trigger guard.

*Now with your left hand - this is kind of hard to explain, so I'll over-describe how -
Make a fist, stick out your index finger, and turn your palm facing up. Put your left hand index finger in front of the middle finger of your right hand, under the trigger guard. Mash the left index finger fairly tightly against both the trigger guard and the right middle finger. Your palm and other fingers should still be turned up.

*Now, with your left index finger still tight against both the trigger guard and the right hand middle finger, turn your palm and other fingers clockwise, inwards towards you. Your left index finger should "cam" tightly against your right middle finger and the trigger guard. This is the most important part. The "camming" of your left index finger makes a tight weld between the gun and your hands, and makes your grip and sight picture rock solid. For me, anyway.

*Lastly, just interlock the fingers of your left hand around your right hand fingers the way you normally would. You can tuck your left hand pinky underneath if you want, to get it out of the way. I always lay my thumbs down the frame, Right on top of left.

That's all there is to it. If you've got big hands, though, this grip won't work. Your fingers will be too big to give enough "camming" space on the bottom of the trigger guard. It works for me, though, and makes the P32 (and my Glock) easier to shoot. With one hand, I'm all over the target when I get past 3-5 yards with the P32 even with slow, deliberate fire. You've really got to hold on to it.

I feel sorry for that bird...but now we have a one-stop index with something other than goats as reference. Wonder how that extrapolates to black helicopters...

I just put Hogue Jr grip on mine and that allows me to pull the trigger with the first knuckle rather than the second. Will see how that works.

I bought my chromed slide Kel-Tec at the Birmingham gunshow back in February. I paid $240.00 total, for it, I am a LEO and the dealer gives us a discount. I bought a Ken Campbell Custom pocket holster, that really adds to the entire package. I have been looking for this little gun for years, its the perfect LEO backup gun. So far zero malfuctions, with hardball and Silvertips. If I've got my pants on I've got that little jewel with me.
