Kel-Tec P32 and FMJ

Quite the opposite from what I've read from others & personal experience. I use HP for carry though, Gold Dots.

HOGWASH....

I've shot practically everything manufactured in .32 auto through my P32; it digest them ALL. If it doesn't you gotta problem with your particular P32.

I've fired nothing but FN hardball from my '32. The FN is rather long, and its blunt profile does not make it the easiest-feeding round, so I had a few failure-to-feeds during my break-in period. No probs last 150 rounds.

Yup, it's true. I have one of the very early ones and FMJ absolutely gives it a sh(&fit!! I have to run Silvertips thru it only.
Period.
End of discussion.

FYI- I did the fluff and buff, polished the hell out of the chamber and tried every known ammo. I sent it back to Keltec not once but twice and they could not fix it. I took the advice of Goldenloki and filed down the slide hold open spring thingy. It fixed one of the problems. I finally arrived at the conclusion that Silvertips and nothing but Silvertips works.

Now, it will fire all eight Silvertips as fast as you can press the trigger.

Yes. I get lots of lite-strikes with CCI. I think their primers are a bit harder than others. Accuracy is as good as any other, though.

I've tested Winchester Silver Tips, PMC, Hydroshock, Corbon, Golddots, and Glaser in my P32 and NAA Guardian with no problems in a self-defense scenario.

The P32 doesn't like to get dirty though and will demonstrate some failures to extract after shooting 30rounds or more. I've heard that the fix for this is too fluff and buff the feed ramp, rails, chamber, firing pin, firingpin channel, etc.

The NAA Guardian digests it all without any cleaning issues. It's pre-finished at the factory. :)

It might help if folks with problematic P32's would give out their serial range, so that we might reach some sort of consensus regarding early models or bad lots. My 29XXX Kel-Tec so far has digested everything I fed it without a single burp or hiccup. No fluff n' buff job either.

I just bought a new P-32 a couple of months ago. I have had no problems feeding Fiocchi SJHP or Winchester FMJ. However, when I mix the two in the same magazine, they tend to get stuck and I have a hard time removing them from the magazine.

I have not tried this when firing the gun yet. (I'll try that next time at the range). But I have had no feeding problems other than those I blame on a friend limp-wristing the gun.

Serial # 72XXX

FWIW - Logistar
