Kel-Tec P11 How much should I pay NIB

With all due respect...

I'd suggest you shoot one before buying...

I shot one at our range. I believe it was a P-11. It was a .40 s&W. Recoil was painful and I shoot 44 Mags. It had the most awful trigger I've ever pulled. I own a P-32 so I'm not anti-Kel-Tec. If it's your thing, have at it. Just friendly advice. Good luck

I've owned a P-11 for a month now and I shoot 9mm reloads that are +P loads. First time I shot it I expected it to be more than a handfull and I didn't feel I would want to shoot it often. I am delighted to say I have not had this much fun with a gun in many years. I ended up shooting 180 rds that first session and another 300 rds since. Although I have several high quality pistols and revolvers in numerous calibers, I have not tired of the P-11 yet therefore the other guns have just stayed in the safe.
At 50, I have a little arthritus and after a long shooting spell the next morning I notice my wrist may be a little stiff but nothing to discourage my constant use of the P-11. I enjoy the design and size so much I've spent an additional $50 for "extras". I looked into getting a compact Kahr but I just can't justify the additional expense although it's an outstanding pistol. Truth be know, I plan to keep my money and use it to buy a P-32 this weekend (it begs for 'warm' reloads) and pick-up another used (like new) P-11as soon as I spot one locally. A good price for a good used one goes for about $200 and a new one for around $265 + tax.
Before I bought the P-11, I had a bad attitute concerning DAO pistols. Growing up before and during the age of cocked & locked, I thought they were designed to satisfy the company lawyers. Shooting the P-11 and trying the trigger pull on the P-32 has changed my mind completely. Rapid fire single action I can put %99 of my shots inside a 7 inch circle, rapid fire double action with the P-11 I can keep %90 of my shots inside a 9 inch circle at 50 feet, unsupported. This more than fils the requirement for concealed carry/personnal defense. With all the different guns I've owned and shot over the years their is no such thing as the 'best handgun' just very good and not so good.

Like Telewinz, I have had good results with the 9mm P-11. I have heard reports that the .40 version is pretty hard to handle. FWIW, Kel-Tec is not making the .40 any more.

I continue to enjoy my P-11. The trigger has smoothed out nicely with just some lube at the appropriate points. I bought it used, so the previous owner may have given it a "fluff & buff" or other work.

It carries really nicely.

Accuracy surprises me, too. Just for grins, I shot it at a (junk) real estate sign at 100 yards. Hit it 8 out of 10 for the first mag. 2nd mag the same results. This was in a seated position, elbows on knees; not at a bench rest. Myabe coulda got 10 for 10 with a good rest....

I saw a new one today for $209 but that is very unusually low. I typically see them at the gunshow or shops for $219, 229 and all the way up to $260. I've noticed in some parts of the country, they are much more expensive than here in Texas.

How Much???

About 2yrs ago, I paid around $240.00 including taxes in Va. Alot of people don't like the trigger pull on it, but it doesn't really bother me that much. I have never had the "fluff and buff" done to it, but maybe I should have. Now, I am not that worried about it because I have my G19. :)

I paid $215 for mine about 6 months ago, NIB at the monthly Gun Show. Very pleased with it. About 2000 rounds thru it so far. The trigger pull is easy to get used to if you work with it and accuracy is pretty good to the typical range that you would expect a CCW to be used in. Enjoy!
