Kel-Tec P-32 Legal in California?

Just went into my local dealer and found other .32 ACP pistols, but was told that the Kel-Tec was illegal. I don't understand why it would be illegal, when other guns of the same ilk are in his case. Is the P32 illegal in California under "Junk Gun" legislation? If so, what sets it apart from the Guardian and Beretta's Tomcat?

I don't think they are NOW illegal - I bought one recently (in California). But one of the reasons I got one was that I've heard that they may BECOME illegal - I think California passed some new law banning guns with certain characteristics (no safety, small size, etc.). I don't know for sure, but it seems like the Kel-tec has got to make any banned list based on these types of characteristics. So you might want to get one soon, just in case.

The P-32 is not illegal. It's just that any firearm without an external safety will be legally a "junk gun" and illegal to sell after this year.

The P-32 looks like a nice little gun and I'd probably buy one if they had real sights.

I can't see classifying a $500.00+ Glock a junk gun. Oh well, that's corrupt government for you! Will they keep LEOs from buying them?

LEOs are exempt from all "junk gun" laws. Nice, huh? Aren't these the weapons that only scumbags and criminals carry? Shows what left-wingers think about cops.

What?!! That's just crazy.

Does this new legislation apply to pistols only, or will revolvers be outlawed?

Anxiously,
