kel tec .40 S&W

Great price if it's new. Recoil is pretty heavy although manageable for the experienced. KT stopped making them, too many got returned with nothing wrong with them - limpwristing. Since they are small & very light weight, they must be held very firmly and must be well lubed.

Still covered under warranty if you decide to get it. As a general rule, avoid 180 grain ammo in them.

:D

Get it! You'll love it. I've had one now for about six months. Perfect little carry gun. I got KelTec to send me a .357 SIG barrel, so that's the way I have it set up now. I advise getting the heavier Wolff springs to help control the power. It does have brisk recoil, but it is a good, accurate, dependable weapon. I have other, more expensive handguns, but my P40/357 is the one I put on every morning.

alamo - what's wrong with 180gr ammo? That's been my favorite load(besides Hydrashocks).

I must admit that the accuracy of this little gun is amazing, although my wrist hurts after shooting it. I'm beginning to love .40's, though. Just got a Ruger P94 to keep me Kel-Tec company. Try stacking them up... Everything lines up - the grip, trigger... Even the magazines are very similar to the point that the Ruger mag would probably work in the Kel-Tec if you cut notches in the side.
I am a little sad about giving up my P-32... But I'm planning on getting another one, along with a P-11 and maybe a Sub-2000.

From what I've read on the KTOG forum, a pretty fair number of people had reliability problems when using 180 grain ammo. That is not to say that some use it with no problems but the concensus there was to use lighter weight rounds.
