Chief,

My P-11 will shoot most anything. I've had great luck with CCI Gold Dot 124gr +P JHP for carry ammo. For practice I generally use Winchester (white box) 115gr FMJ. The Winchester is avaliable at Walmart for $10.76 for 100 rounds.

I'll provide you with a few links that have been very helpful to me in selecting ammo and getting plenty of technical info on the P-11.

Holster? Being the frugal guy that I am I use an Uncle Mike's IWB, size 12. That's the one for the mini-Glocks. However, after it broke in it got a little loose. I tightened it by sewing in the seam where the trigger guard goes, with hi-tech floss (!). Fits great now. Not bad for a $10 holster.

Before you buy a holster (or at least an expensive one) try the belt clip. I traded my Glock 23 in for a P11 (the only trade I ever made money on) a few years ago and with it bought the belt clip Kel Tec sells. My P11 has NEVER been in a holster. Ultimate concealability. BTW, my P11 has never jamed or had a problem with probably close to 3000 rounds thru it.

The only problem I have is with the trigger. It's pretty bad; Keltec sells a trigger shoe that fits over it and makes the trigger wider (do the new P11s come with a wide trigger anyone know?). Reduces felt trigger resistence.

IMHO, you got the best bang for your buck in reliability, concealability, power, capacity, and carry-comfort on the market.

Glock Sport Holster...should be able to find one for $15 or so.

Trim the tab inside the trigger guard area and you're good to go.

For a holster, I have a Fist #19 CLOSE CROPPED ADJUSTABLE IWB
and like it very much. As far as ammo goes, for practice I use Winchester (White Box). I had a lot of problems with CCI Blazers, mostly FTE. For self defense ammo, I have Triton Quik-Shok 115gr +P and have had no problems when I took them to the range to practice with them.

Can't advise on Holsters but ammo.....

If you got a "good" P11, and by the feedback on the KTOG forum, most of the newer ones are really good, here's what I've used in my P11: For carry it's CorBon 115 gr JHP + P. Now, mind you, Kel-Tec does not advise continuous shooting of + P ammo in their P11 but I don't think an occasional mag of this stuff would loosen your gun. Georga Arms also makes an excellent 115 gr JHP which is rated at approx 1,100 FPS, quite peppy for a standard pressure load. You can get a bag of 50 for about $8.50. I would also seriously look into RBCD ammo which is an exotic and labeled as "TFSP" which, I believe, stands for "totally fragmenting soft-point." I used this stuff in my P32 and the RBCD 9mm goes out at almost 2,000 FPS. Something to think about for a self-defense gun, which is what the P11 is designed for.
