Keeping a gun loaded in your business legal?

hi Im a resident in Montgomery AL. We own a resturent here, and is it lawful for us to keep a loaded firearm below our counter? I don't think I'm going to get my pistol permit anytime soon but do feel safer with a gun near or on me at our place of work.

I'm not familiar with Alamaba firearm laws, but my grandfater always had a few loaded revolvers in his grocery store in dowtown Birmingham. But don't take my word for it. Check this link out...

Almost every state allows firearms in a persons place of business. It is private property and there is generally no special permit or anything to have a firearm on private property with the permission of the owner. I am sure there are exceptions so check your local laws to be sure.
