KecTec32 Clip Carry Question

I'm thinking about the K32. I'd get the clip, which qualifies as a holser(mandatory) in GA. My question is, how do you carry you K32? I'm right handed, and I'd invision carry this flat little gun in the small of my back or a back pocket - thus I'd need a left-hand clip.

Call Kel-Tec and ask for a left hand clip. I have a clip for both sides. Even if they make you pay for it (which I doubt), it's cheap.

Coz...

I don't know if K-T makes a lefty clip for the P-11 because I don't own one and I've never asked. As a "guess", I'd say that they probably do.

Really you should still use a right-hand clip. Having the right side of the gun pressed against your body makes it hard to fish your hand around it when it comes time to draw.

I've had my P32 for quite a while now. I ordered (and installed) the clip soon after I purchased the gun. I normally carry my P32 in my right front pants pocket in a $10 Uncle Mike's nylon holster - size 1. The only time I actually use the clip and leave the holster home is on the rare occasion when I am wearing sweat pants or something similar (I prefer holster carry). Also, I find that the hex head of the clip screw chews up the skin on my upper thumb joint of my right hand after shooting a few magazines of ammo. Due to this factor alone, I'm thinking about removing clip or smoothing up the hex head a bit..... not sure.

I've owned my P-32 for two years and I love the little jewel. I carry mine in a Ken Campbell custom pocket hoslter in my right rear pocket and you can't even tell that it's there. I have never seen the need for one of their gun clips. I know guys that carry their P-32s in their shirt pocket without a holster, like a pack of smokes and it works for them.

I use a good 1.5 inch belt and carry my P32 clipped on my trousers (pistol inside the pants) in the 4 o'clock position...The belt hides the pistol totally...It just dissappears behind the belt...This method allows you to wear a tucked in shirt slightly bloused over the gun..Since the clip is behind the belt it barely shows..Access is a little slow but then the P32 is a deep cover pistol.....

I put a belt clip on my P-32, and ended up taking it off for two reasons:
1. I shoot my KT a lot, and the hex srew would always come loose from the recoil. Then the clip would rock back and forth.
2. The clip fastens very snuggly to the polymer frame and will dig into the polymer. This is OK, unless you decide to take the clip off the gun--then you have two flaws dug into your grip.
I used some locktite to keep the hexscrew from coming loose, and it worked for a while...but it always broke loose. If you don't shoot your gun much, then all of this shouldn't be a problem. The belt clip is not for me.

Get yourself a Hedley pocket holster--you won't be sorry.

I'll put in another vote for dumping the clip. I have a Hedley pocket holster. It's very comfortable and if you notice it at all you'd think it was my wallet. Which makes it and easy thing to go for if anyone ever says "Gimme your wallet!"

I use an Uncle Mike's size 1 pocket holster, lightly modified to hold a spare mag, too.

I distrust the clip. Seems less secure than a pocket holster. No protection for the trigger, which is a big deal for me with a DAO and one in the tube.

In the holster, the pistol is protected from gunk, the trigger is covered, etc.

Well, I DO have a cilp for both sides of my P-32.

However, I have rarely used them. I also have two RJ Hedley back pocket holsters. Though not for my P-32. I'll have to second the recommendation for the Hedley's. They are simply the best back pocket holster made. They spread apart when you draw and "stick" in your pocket. I have them for my Seecamp and my Guardian. My P-32 is so light and thin, it's the only pistol that I've ever carried in an ankle holster that I could truly forget about all day long. But, I probably will end up buying a Hedley for my P-32 some day simply because thay are SO nice and reasonably priced. Nobody has mentioned it yet, but he also gives you the opportnity to buy one of his pocket mag pouches with a holster purchase. Lint free spare mags are the result of that little bargain!

I've always carried mine in my right front pocket in an Uncle Mike's size one soft cloth pocket holster. I just feel more secure with it in there and if you install a clip, one of the frame dowels has to be pressed out for the clip to be installed. I believe the factory in Florida would be the place to do that or a gun smith. They don't recommend a "do-it-yourself" installing the clip because of the importance of that frame dowel at the rear of the slider.

I have carried the P-32 using the clip for years. It's right behind the belt buckle and is absolutely impossible to see.

I used blue locktite and it has lasted nearly a year. I carry the P-32 everykwhere, all the time, all day, wake to sleep. In the house, working in the yard, tilling, driving, etc. it's there, and the clip works great for me.

It's all a matter of personal preference.
