I have been lusting for a blued ROA to go with my SS ROA for some time, could not justify the expense as I have several other lust's.

I've helped a friend of my wife's with some really minor BS and yesterday I help her get her family fire arms returned to her from an EX. Anyway I'll be selling these for her and she wanted my to have the only revolver in the group as her way of thanking me. I was shocked when she removed this from a sack.

It had been put away dirty but cleaned up just fine under some hot water and soap. I'm doing the happy dance about the holster.

Old Bill Ruger must have heard your prayers. Congrats on the fine blued ROA, now your SS one won't be lonely.

I have the exact same pistol and holster, only my pistol isn't as clean or nice and my holster has been cut into a cowboy style holster :)

Congrats though, I can tell you first hand that you are going to have fun with it.

Kind of renews one's faith in doing good deeds.

I was the recipient not too long ago of a nickle plated 1972 Colt Mark IV Series 70 1911 from a former classmate and widow of an old friend as a gift for helping her wade through dealing with his FFL books and inventory.

Congratulations and well done.

I think I'm more tickeled about the holster than the revolver. The Ruger embossed flap holster seems hard to come across, at least for me, I've wanted one for years.

I wonder who actually made that holster?
If its production was contracted out, is there any indication on it?
Could it have been made by Bianchi or another holster maker for Ruger?

I will join in on the the refrain and congratulate you on your karma gift. It is a nice looking revolver and I am glad someone like you is helping someone who knows nothing about guns realize the value of them rather than getting ripped off by the wolves out there. You have probably gotten her more than the value of her gift to you. I just wish there were more people like you and the gentleman who helped Aussie's widow in the gun community.

I called rugers leather makers and they said they could make me a copy of that holster about 60 bucks apiece but i prefer bulldog:cool: by the way what will you take for the rig?
