Kansas City gun show, is it really 1000 tables

There is a gun show in KC Missouri this weekend and it's advertised to be 1000 tables. Are the KC shows usually that big? I don't want to make a long drive if it's touted as big and in reality it's average (that's 500 tables in my area).

Where's the show? The KCI Expo Center shows are usually ~500 tables, as I recall. Most promoters advertise the number of tables available, not sold.

Thanks guys. I never thought about the table number might be the spaces available and not the actual count in use. Thanks very much.

All of the big shows that I worked would say "a thousand tables" and that means about 500 of them are beef jerky and Chinese knives and moldy Army surplus junk. And maybe a couple of guys sharpening knives on a grinder for $2.00.

The show at the KCI expo is OK, but deals are hard to find, you have to look hard. I do not think they have ever had more than 500 tables set up, but maybe they have.

Go to the promoters website and you will find a coupon for $1.00 off the admission price.

I may be going this week-end, depending on Auntie Bucks Schedule. There are a couple of guns I will be looking for, as well as reloading supplies. It really is a cheap date (Unless I actually find the guns) as we enjoy spending time together and seeing the kooks and nutz. :)

A couple of the venders I enjoy talking with are Deans Gun Shop, the guy from WWW.AmmoDepot.com and C&R Sales (Usually get my best reloading deals from here).

You'll have the guys with the beef jerkey, the T-shirts, the nylon holster guy, a few tables with knives and silver coins and there always seems to be one guy who has old yard sale junk. Members of some militia group usually have a table set up and they irritate me because of the way they wear their uniforms.

It is has always seemed pretty kid friendly and you will notice a lot of families. Make the trip and enjoy yourself.
