Kane county IL gun show

I've never been to an IL gun show and was wondering how big the show is. I read it is in St. Charles IL....anyone have any clue as to how to get there? What if someone that is not from IL is going, how does the FOID thing work? I might be there if I can find someone to go with but I need that information first. Thanks! :)

Kane county is an OK show, about 150 tables IIRC. Fair selection of stuff and things. It doesn't have a patch on the Lake county show however. Semper Fi....
 
It's April 9th at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles. Your best bet would be to take 83 south to 64 (North Ave.). Turn right on North Ave. for a good long while. You'll go through like, Elmhurst, Lombard, and Carol Stream and then St. Charles. Keep going all the way through St. Charles until you get to Randall road, and turn left. I can't remember for the life of me what side of the road it's on, but you can't miss it. If you cross 38 (Roosevelt Rd.) you've gone too far.

The Kane County show is a good local show. The Lake County show is bigger, but you get an eerie feeling you're being watched by F-Troop there, and the people are typically very unfriendly.

Kane on the other hand is much friendlier. Rumor has it that because they've become so popular, Kane show organizers are thinking about opening another building for the April 9th show.

The Kane show is located on the northwest corner of Rt38 and Randall Road in the Kane County Fairgrounds complex. You'll enter off of Randall Road about 1 1/2 blocks north of Rt38. You can call for more information at (815)758-2773.
 
Miss D, I checked and there's just no way we can come. I'm really sorry and I hope you find somebody to go with, but just out of curiosity--why not just go by yourself?

It really is a shame since it's only about five minutes from Melissa's house, but she'll be here at the time, 3 hours away.

You mean there are unfriendly people in IL? ;) LOL

Thanks for the directions, I will either be going North, or right, or left LOL If I do go I will call beforehand. I would still rather be going to the Tulsa show this weekend :( Oh well I'll hit that one in October hopefully :D
