Kalinka optics...

Anybody ever used one of their scopes? They don't look too bad for the money really. I am looking at this scope specifically:

Because it is inexpensive, fixed at the magnification I want and GERMAN RETICLE. I love the German Post but have a hard time finding scopes with it. It would be going on a Keltec SU-16 most likely. I think that would make for a light, quick handling, quick targeting rifle. Any input appreciated.

German reticle

Hey I like the German #1 (3 post) reticle too. And my interest goes way back before video games!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an option........buy a Leupold of the style and size you like. I get a lot of my Leu's, in fact all of them these days, from E-bay. Send that puppy off to Leupold, and they will install a German #1 (or near anything else), for about $55-60 bucks. They will also inspect your scope and overall make it right.

If it ever fails, they will work on it and return same in timely fashion. I've done two this way (with The German) and am well pleased.

Hm. Now that is an idea. I wonder if Zeiss would do that? I have a Conquest sitting around and would love it with the German Post. And I liked it before Call of Duty too.

Kalinka? It sounds like if you shoot it off something like a magnum the scope parts will be going "kalinka" "kalinka" "kalinka" inside the scope! JK, might be just fine.

After I got over their name, I gave them a shot. I have owned quite a few of their products, and the scopes they sell for AKs are fantastic and at a great price. Not one issue with customer service, either.

Seems that others have similar experiences.

It's one of the few places you can find the BP-02 mount for the AK-47. A bit pricey, but straight from Belarus.
