Kalif. unsafe handguns law

The most expensive handgun I would want to buy is a Sig 229. It does not have an external manually operated safety. However, it is a very safe handgun, but Kalifornia is going to ban it as of 12/31? I had heard they were not going to do that because all the cops use Glocks, which would be banned. Of course, laws for the peasants don't apply to the elites.

Is that for real? Pardon my ignorance, up until a few weeks ago I was happy playing with rifles, I only just thought of buying my first pistol.

It is real my friend. Just like SB-23 applied for semi-auto rifle, this bill applies for handguns. And there is not limit of which or what gun/s are going to be affected. Maybe all, who knows. As you know Kalifornia is a testing ground for the anti-gun politicians and followers(HCI and others). Buy what you want or can. But it is no good, for other generations will not enjoy the freedom/s of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We must not give-up and keep fighting legally as long as we can or the worst may come to us, and I am not only speaking about Kalifornia, but to the whole Republic. For these laws may spread like Cancer throughout the nation.
