Kahra 9m/m

I have a Kahr K9. It is a well made pistol that makes an excellent choice for concealed carry. All stainless construction. Good sights. Accurate. Trigger pull is a little long, but you get used to it. It is a little heavy for pocket carry, but disappears in a good IWB holster.

Two things I like about it best are, one, it is a natural pointer for me. Have shot it in IDPA matches, and done very well. And two, is its reliability. Never had a single FTF or FTE.

The MK9 is also an excellent choice for concealed carry--everything John said about the K9, but in a smaller package.

Even though it's smaller, it's still a little heavy for pocket carry.

You can also get the elite version of K9's and MK9's which has a slightly shorter pull on a very smooth trigger. Worth the extra cost, IMHO.

I have to second what Dr.J has to say. Living in the hot & humid Florida swamps, I need a small but reliable firearm in a serious caliber (some may disagree that a 9mm is a "serious caliber" but loaded with the proper bullets, it has 90%+ one shot stopping power according to Evan Marshall) and the MK9 is my everyday CCW gun.

Ditto FUD. The MK9 is my every day, but I'll Differ with Dr. J on pocket carry; it works well for me.

My MK has been 100% reliable, it shoots where pointed, and is easily controlable with 124gr +P loads. It has fantasic sights for a mouse sized gun.

I've got an early blue K9. It's no 1911, but when you get used to the quirky trigger it's a neat carry pistol. It does seem heavy for its size in the all-steel versions, but I've never liked pocket carry anyway, and it rides nicely in a small high scabbard or IWB. Otherwise, go with the P9, with the tupperware frame. Got to love that smoooooth trigger. 100% reliability so far. Good sights. More accurate than you think it should be. Company very good on service and backup. 'Nuff said? slabsides

If they take our guns, I intend to let my hair grow long and acquire the jawbone of an ass.

Still haven't been able to put my hands on one to check it out in person. Nobody around here carries Kahrs. No gunshops that is. Have heard here and elsewhere that the trigger pull is long; but I was wondering about the reach. I was thinking about getting the light squirt gun for my Mrs. to be and she has average length size hands. In other words, can reach a SA 1911 trigger, but has to use the finger tip for Sigs.

PS: Talked to a follower, I mean an employee of Mr. Moon and he said that the kahrappy trigger of yesteryear has been replaced with the "custom" trigger as standard on all new guns they put out. He did not describe it though. Another plus is that it has a fully supported chamber. A little more consolance when using reloads.

I got a Kahr P9 polymer, its super light but I dont like the huge slide stop lever and the super skinny grip.
