I want to put some aftermarket sights on my Kahr P-9 and I keep hearing horror stories about getting the old sights off. Can anyone give me any insight into this?
Apparently Kahr doesn't want your sights to slide off, so they put them on REALLY tight. Also, notice that the sides of both front and rear sights are angled. This makes driving them off difficult, since the pusher will have a tendency to slide off.
Took mine to a smith to put on some Trijicon's. He ended up cutting the front sight in order to get it out. I would say there is a "tightness" problem.
