What ammo shoots most accurately out of your Kahr P9?

What is the most accurate target ammo (FMJ)?

What is the most accurate defensive ammo (JHP)?

In the January Gun World magazine, Massad Ayoob tested a P9 and felt the Black Hills 115-grain EXP (JHP, +P, 1250 fps.) was most accurate with a 7 yard, 5 shot group at 1.4".

Other ammo tested: Triton 115 gr. JHP 3.9", Pro-load 115 gr. 6", USA 115 ball 3.1", Winchester subsonic 147 gr. OSM 2.75".

Gary Paul Johnson in the September Combat Handguns tested a P9 and found that Federal 135 JHP PD-1036 fps. was most accurate with an average 5 shot group (at 25 yards, hand held) at 3.41".

Other ammo tested: Black Hills 124-grain (JHP, 1131 fps.) 3.66". Wolf 115 FMJ 3.93", Triton 95 CQD HP 3.96", Cor-Bon 115 JHP +P 4.03.

Does anyone know anything about Black Hills, whose bullet they use (I think they are similar to Proload in that they use someone else's bullet)?.

But back to the original questions: what ammunition have you found most accurate for HD and target practice with your Kahr P9 (or I guess other Kahr 9mm)?

You'll have to try several boxes of different ammo to find your answer. And then when you do - you will have only found the most accurate out of the brands you tried.

What works best in one guy's gun might not even function in another.
