Kahr p9 slide movement on triggle pull help!

Hey guys,

Just got my Kahr. I noticed that when i pull the trigger, the front of the slide and barrel move up a little and when the hammer drops so does the front slide etc. I'm talking about like 1/2mm movement.

Does this happen on yours and does this affect accuracy?

Thanks

Did you really mean when you pull the trigger? Mine has no movement when I pull the trigger unloaded. When I rack the slide it has a definite upward movement of the barrel - more so than with my other semiautos, but it has no effect on accuracy.

Mine does this with the mag out. It seems to have no effect on accuracy. I've also seen several others that do the same thing. Nature of the beast?

Same thing in my MK9

Very slight movement, but it's there. However, with the tight groups I get, I certainly can't say it diminishes accuracy.

Same thing in all 3 of my Kahrs (K9, K40, and MK9). All three are reliable and accurate. I wouldn't worry about it, since it doesn't seem to affect performance.

My K9elite does the same thing...thought I put the recoil spring on backwards at first, due to warning about this I read somewhere.

I notice that when the gun is in battery and the striker is cocked, the slide can be easily nudged backwards about 2mm (guesstimate). When the gun is fired, the slide can no longer be nudged easily. Wierd.

Never noticed this on any other gun I own; Then again the Kahr is with me everyday, and like an old friend you become quite familiar with little details.

Same here. When the trigger is pulled the bar working the striker pushes up on the slide, which will have a small amount of vertical play in it anyway. So it's nothing to worry about. Any effect it may have on functioning or accuracy is minimal at the most.
