Kahr P

sold two.they are by far the best kahr yet.there trigger pulls are better and reliability out of the box has been superb.

I went yesterday to look at one, incidentally a guy walked in to pick his up at the same time. That is one sweet gun, love the trigger, quality is typical Kahr (very good), gun is extremely light. I wrestled to take it apart, like all Kahrs (especially when they are new). I can't see it being anything other than a winner.

Decisions, Decisions, get a Kahr P9 or wait for the Beretta 9000?

I'm looking forward to seeing one in the flesh. I'm interested in its recoil impulse since it would be a gift for a light framed lady.

Congratulations on your purchase. When it comes in, and you get a chance, would you mind posting your impressions and include your thoughts on the recoil?
-Thanks-

Robert,
Will be glad to give you a complete rundown as soon as I get it and put it through it's paces.
I plan on making it my summer carry gun if it is as reliable as I hear.
I now carry a Glock 19 that I did a grip reduction on so it fits my small hands better(but on some occasions it is a little to bulkie and heavy). My winter carry is a Kimber Custom Royal, so the KP9 will have to stand up to some tough competition.
I carry Pro-Load 124 + P's in 9mm, plus I'll check out the recoil with some standard loads for you also.
Hope to be able to report soon.......
Stay safe............Jim

Thanks Jim,

That Glock 19 is a fine pistol. Glad to find someone who thought that the same gun w/a shorter grip makes the most sense for CC. The grip length is the limiting factor that prints when wearing it in the waistband. Plus you end up w/longer barrel and sight radius. Always good to run across someone trying smart new ideas.

The new P9, I was told by someone at Kahr, is supposed to come with the new (forget the name), smooth trigger; which was previously only available at additional cost.
Best wishes on the new purchase.

I believe those lighter triggers were in what they called their 'Elite' models.

Is it my imagination, or are Kahr prices coming down? Saw some at the show this weekend, and every one they had at my favorite FFL was in stainless. And, the prices seemed pretty reasonable. Didn't see any P models.
