Kahr P-9 Problem

I purchased a Kahr P-9 Covert a few weeks ago, and have put about 150 rounds through it.

After shooting it this weekend, I did the usual disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.

However, I cannot chamber a round with a full magazine. This applys to both the 6 round magazine and the 7 round magazine.

When I pull the slide back, I cannot get it all of the way back. If I load the magazines to one less than full capacity, there is no problem, although it feels different than it did before when I let the slide go forward.

Has anybody run into this problem before?

Load your magazines fully and leave them that way for a few days and then try it.

Some of the new magazine springs are so stiff that they prevent the first round on a full magazine from being stripped off when the slide is cycled.
