Kahr MK9 Grip screws gripe.

I bought a new Kahr MK9 a few weeks ago and have mixed reviews about it. It is reliable and surprisingly accurate for such a small pistol. On the minus side, it had too many sharp adges and was poorly deburred, the slide stop needs a major recontouring. One of the grip screws was cross threaded. No big deal I thought, re tap the hole and replace the screw. Nothing doing, the factory uses a proprietary .150-50 thread that is not even listed in Machinery's Handbook! Needless to say I am not thrilled at having to send the pistol back for something that could have been so easy to fix myself.
Going to take awhile to really like this one.

Wow! You're the first person I've ever heard complain about a Khar pistol (other than the usual comments about the weight). I've got an MK40 that I love. Let us know if your opinion changes in the months to come.

Reading "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal," by Ayn Rand, should be required of every politician and in every high school.

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined."
--Patrick Henry, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788)

Ayn's THE VOICE OF REASON, PHILOSOPHY:WHO NEEDS IT?, and THE NEW LEFT are much better.I have read every word that she wrote. Don't bother with the ROMANTIC MANIFESTO, the one about Russia (novel) and her early fiction. Binswanger's AYN RAND LEXICON, Peikoff's OBJECTIVISM:THE PHILOSOPHY OF AYN RAND, are great stuff. So is PEIKOFF'S OMINOUS PARALLELS (about Weimar Germany and US today)
