Kahr MK9 barrel in a MK40?

Anyone know if you can swap a MK9 barrel into a MK40? I know the MK40 was made a little sturdier than the MK9 so you probably can't do the reverse.

Just wondering if you can swap barrels like you can with a Glock 23 (9mm,.40,.357 sig).

I don't think it will work though I don't have an MK40 to try it on. The reason is that the barrel length on the MK9 is listed at 3" while the MK40 barrel shows 3.5". My K40 Covert is at home so I can't measure the diameter either, but I think the 9mm barrel is slimmer.
