Kahr MK9 and Glock 26

Kentucky Rifle

Could someone who owns both and has the capacity to post pictures, please post a couple of pictures of these 9MM's side by side? (And maybe from the back?) Thanks, I appreciate it.

I had a G26 a few years ago.
Very accurate, but always felt kind of chunky.
Was very good for a belt or shoulder holster, but too wide for IWB carry, for me.

I now have the MK9.
Appears to be of similar quality to the Glock.
As it is thinner, the butt doesn't feel as "chopped off", if that makes sense.
The thinness of the MK9 makes it work very well for IWB carry for me.
If you do a search of "MK9" there are some pictures here somewhere.

Here's some slide info from Kahr comparing the 9mm with the G26.

Glock 27 & Kahr MK9

Own both & love both. G27 for most carry, MK9 for when I need something a little smaller (thinner). Here are some photos to compare. I also have a photo with the MK9 clip w/finger rest & extra round, and G27 w/Peirce grip adapter.

The most significant size comparison is between the Polymer Kahr and the Glock 26/27 from an angle like TheeBadOne's 4th link.

I have a Kahr P40 that's back at Kahr for the trigger pin upgrade. (Kahr says it will be in today). In the meantime, I've been carrying my GLock 27 in the same position I carry the Kahr (IWB about 5:00, just to left of small of back). WHAT a difference! The glock feels like a big fat brick back there, while the Kahr is usually undetectable. It's mostly while sitting that I notice it most, but I also have to be more careful while standing. The Kahr is so thin, it doesn't even print when I bend over properly. The Glock does. It also tends to catch my shirt above it when I stand up from the car. The Kahr is so thin it doesn't have enough "shelf" to catch my shirt-tail.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Glock 27, and it's still here while the Kahr is gone (free of charge) but I will be very glad to have my P40 back so I can feel more comfortable!

The links work just fine. And thank you!
I own a G27. It's my favorite pistol. Never a lick of trouble. I had just about decided on a G26, but Tamara said "Variety is the spice of life", so I began to seriously consider the Kahr.
Any trouble with yours? Where did you get (and how long to get them installed) those Trijicon night sights? I was looking at some weight tables yesterday and the Kahr actually came out lighter that a G26 when they're both loaded. I wouldn't use either one for pocket carry. Also, I've also had my legs crossed for about a month after reading about the FBI guy who was carrying his G27 "Mexican style" on an airplane. The pistol got uncomfortable (naturally, without a holster!) and he reached in to make a adjustment. He also put his finger on the trigger. He nearly emasculated himself when the gun went off!! (HOLY S***!!!) He almost bled to death before the pilot could get the plane on the ground. Where would you put the tourniquet on something like THAT!!
Can you imagine the LOOK on his FACE?? "Pardon me, but I've just shot my "hooha" off. Can you give me a little help here"?

SHUDDER!! (I can barely type!)

I ordered my MK9 with night sights. I do use mine for front pocket carry although I too think it's a bit heavy (I am seriously thinking about checking out a MP9 for that). It's accurate and reliable. I had a couple instances of failure to go into battery due to dirt/new condition. After putting 100+ rounds through it I never experianced it again, even if dirty (powder residue & pocket lint). I bet my life on it when ever I'm not carrying my G27. If you already own a G27 I suggest getting a Kahr. Perhaps a MP9? Both the Kahr and Glock line of pistols are well engineered and well made. The Kahr's main advantage is that it is thinner. The Glock is shorter (height) and holds more ammo, but is fatter. I'd never sell either one, they both have their uses. If you have a G27 and pick up a MK9/MP9 you will have your CCW bases well covered for most situations. I am able to carry my MK9 so well my Seecamp .32 almost never leaves the vault (note: I am a pretty good sized guy, and I buy my pants not by brand, color, etc etc etc, only by #1 pocket size, #2 leg size [relaxed fit], and also 1"+ bigger in the waist to allow for IWB holsters.
