Well FINALY got to shoot my Kahr MK 40 Elite (members of my fanclub have surely bookmarked the thread. But for the rest of you, here's the thread I posted when I bought it http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116046 )

Well I was surprised by the accuracy. It's obviously not a bullseye shooting gun, but I was able to keep all my shots on the paper.

I love the trigger. Smooth and consistant, not too heavy and not too long.

I had 2 failures to feed ... one caused by limp wristing (I was shooting off hand) and the second one was when I tried to recycle the round that didn't feed the first time (wonder if it was just that particular bullet). It took a bit of force to unjam the gun on the first FTF but the second one just required a simple reracking.

I shot 11 rounds of 165gr Spear Gold Dots and 50 rounds of PMC 165gr FMJ/FP (it was a PMC the gun choked on).

Overall I'm impressed. The gun was more accurate and significantly more comfortable to shoot then I expected.

Biggest problem I had with it is that I have not recieved the 2nd magazine from the guy I bought it from so all I had was 1-5 rounder, so reloading was a pain.

After shooting this little guy, I'm seriously going to think about picking up a K40 or maybe a T40 when it comes out.

Over all I give it 2 thumbs up

I`m not sure if they have them for the .40 but I bought a bunch of Pro Mags from CDNN for my MK9. Ok, they`re not the best but I used 5 of them on the range Saturday shooting an off duty type course, 12 rounds at 15 yds, 12 rounds at 7 yds both strong and weak hands and 6 at 3 yds, 3 strong, 3 weak. I had noticed before that some of the mags would fail to hold the slide open on previous practice but Saturday they worked flawlessly. I still wouldn`t carry them on the street but for the range they are a lot cheaper than the factory. YMMV.

I took my K40 out yesterday and shot some very agressive water bottles. Its been a while since Ive shot it and Ill tell you its one of my favorite all time guns. I took a "re-entry" shooter with me, a long time friend and he loved it. He didnt prefer the SP with the stock grip AT ALL but fell in love with the Kahr and my J frame.
He was hitting warm shaken pop pans at about 20-25 yds...probably every 2-3 shots with the Kahr. Good shooting!
Ive shot the MK Elite and love the triggger. Some work to my little Kahr may be coming up...trigger work, stippling the front housing and maybe 2 tone the little monster...something different but tasteful.
