Well FINALY got to shoot my Kahr MK 40 Elite (members of my fanclub have surely bookmarked the thread. But for the rest of you, here's the thread I posted when I bought it http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116046 )
Well I was surprised by the accuracy. It's obviously not a bullseye shooting gun, but I was able to keep all my shots on the paper.
I love the trigger. Smooth and consistant, not too heavy and not too long.
I had 2 failures to feed ... one caused by limp wristing (I was shooting off hand) and the second one was when I tried to recycle the round that didn't feed the first time (wonder if it was just that particular bullet). It took a bit of force to unjam the gun on the first FTF but the second one just required a simple reracking.
I shot 11 rounds of 165gr Spear Gold Dots and 50 rounds of PMC 165gr FMJ/FP (it was a PMC the gun choked on).
Overall I'm impressed. The gun was more accurate and significantly more comfortable to shoot then I expected.
Biggest problem I had with it is that I have not recieved the 2nd magazine from the guy I bought it from so all I had was 1-5 rounder, so reloading was a pain.
After shooting this little guy, I'm seriously going to think about picking up a K40 or maybe a T40 when it comes out.
Over all I give it 2 thumbs up
