Kahr is working hard since the acquisition of Auto Ordnance with reengineering. They too want to get in on the 1911 bandwagon, but want a good product. I spoke to Justin Moon at SHOT last year and I think that you will see an MP9 before you see a .45 non-1911 Kahr. If we are lucky we will see the MP9 at SHOT 2002, if not it will be 2003. A .45 cal version of the DA Kahr's would require an investment in all new tooling, the MP9 would only need a new frame mold.
