Kahr mag button problem

I have a Kahr P9 that I really like. One major problem though: my thumb often accidentally hits the mag release button which is fairly easy to depress. The P9 has a leaf spring for the mag release button, while the K9 has a coiled spring that offers much greater resistance. Does anyone know if I could replace the leaf spring with something stronger to increase the tension? Any other ideas for my problem?

Kahr Problem

Sounds like you are using a 'thumbs down' grip - with left thumb pressing down on right thumb. You might try using a 'thumbs up' grip - thumbs are parallel to the frame, right thumb resting on the second joint of the left thumb. Depending on the size of your hand, this can put the left thumb close to the slide lock and cause it to move up and lock the slide back.
I must have over 1000 rounds thru my P9 now without any problems.

Might need to alter your grip to what Delrin suggested. I've used that style grip on all my semi-auto's for years and have found it to give me the best control over recoil.
