Kahr K9 gunsmiths/refinishers

Ok, I broke down and did it. I bought a backup gun to my Caspian Officer's ACP, and in 9mm, no less. The local gunshop got a used Kahr K9 in, with nice Bianchi holster, for just over 250 clams. This gun had been carried a LOT, and while the trigger was smooth, the slide/frame fit was still fairly tight. The drawback to the carrying was that the slide's finish is almost completely gone, with spots of surface corrosion here and there. That doesn't scare me, I can never leave well enough alone, anyway. Here's what I wanna do with the gun when I pick it up - Novak sights, or Tritium Novaks, dehorn and recontour all the rough edges on the frame and slide, bead blast, and either parkerize it (just like my Caspian) or some other tough basic black finish. I checked out Scott, McDougal, and they push their GnomeCoat, are there other Kahr smiths out there who have a good track record fixing up the little DAO 9mm?

He seems to be the one with the most press. You may want to consider Mac's Restorations at http://www.shootiniron.com. You certainly cannot beat his prices or guarantee. You may also want to get a new recoil spring for it from http://www.kahr.com. They say in the manual to replace it at 3K round intervals. One of mine is overdue, but they are closed through the 15th.
