KAHR K9 Elite vs. Standard K9??

I plan on purchasing one of the stainless KAHR's to use as a full time carry gun. The local shop quoted me a price of $509.00 for the K9 stainless (NIB, no night sights). They don't have a K9 Elite and can't quote a price on one.

Is the price quoted for the K9 too high?

What prices have you seen on the Elite stainless?

D&R Sports (http://www.dnrsports.com/) has much better prices ($460 for NIB stainless). Has anyone dealt with them before?

Of the two models which would you prefer for carry? I have experience with the standard KAHR trigger, but not the Elite version.

I paid $539 for my MK9 Elite. I absolutly love this gun. The trigger is the best thing since sliced bread. It seems there is a pretty wide range of prices out there on the Kahrs. I dont belive I have ever seen a stainless one under $475, and have seem them as high as $600. From what I have heard if you can get an Elite for under $550, you did OK. Good luck! (All of these prices are for fixed sights, I havent ran into any with night sights in my area)

I have three Kahrs: K40 with Black-T finish, K9 stainless elite, MK9 stainless elite. All have night sights. I had the K40 upgraded to the elite trigger, which I prefer over the standard trigger.

My stainless elites with night sights cost a bit over $600. I suspect you can get one without night sights for $550 or so.

Paid $625 for my K9 Elite with nite sites and the trigger is smooth as silk. 100% reliable (800rds) so far. :)

You should also be able to find the E9 economy series for well under $400. You do get the stainless frame, but with a matte blued slide. The trigger smooths up enough with use to spend the savings on ammo. Then again, if you're handy around pistols, you can smooth it up quite nicely with about 3-5hrs of effort.
