Kahr K40 mods for carry....

I dropped by my local smith today to have some work done on my SP and had my Kahr with me.....out of curiosity I asked how much to smooth the trigger a tad (it was already great) and if he did checkering on the front strap? He felt the trigger and said he could do "alittle for it". We chatted about checkering and he does it...but he explained "horizontal serrations" are actually as good and less hard on your hands, gloves and etc....the gun wants to roll on a vertical plain...you counter that movement by
horizontal serrations....OK! Makes sense...go for it!
I picked up my guns last night! OH MY G*D! HELLO!
The trigger is better than any ELITE Ive tried and the serrations look GOOD....he even did them on the front of the trigger guard to match :D
Ill throw up a pic or two later today....
So far my little black plain jane K40 has a POLISHED feedramp, Wolff heavy recoil spring, Meprolight nights, polished frame and slide rails, trigger work, slight melt work and the serrated front strap and trigger. I think I like it....
Shoot well

Cost of Mods?

Please excuse me if I'm being indiscrete, but could you post the rough cost of your newest mods? I have an MK40 that I would like to have some similar work done on and am curious how much to budget.
The MK40's short grip makes it hard to draw especially with the smooth frontstrap. My Pierce grip extension helps a little but makes concealment a little more difficult.
Great to hear you are liking your K40!

MK40, there's always grip tape, I actually use the stuff that 3M makes for non-skid walkway strips, a cut out piece shaped like a vertically elongated stop sign is secure and really improves your grip on the little thing.

Here she is.....the pics are bad and make the serrations look kinda strange....the look good in person. Shoot well
