Kahr CW9 Rear Sight

I recently purchased a Kahr CW9 for carry. I'm very happy with how the gun handles and feels but it shoots about 2.5" to the left of center. I can't get the rear sight to drift over. I admittedly don't have gunsmithing tools but was using a wooden dowel and small machine hammer to try and accomplish this, but to no avail. Am I not tapping (as of last, approaching 'hitting') hard enough to get it to drift? Is the wood I'm using not allowing me to get a sharp enough strike? I've quit with it and I'm afraid now of either knocking it way over or damaging something. TIA for any advice.

Peeweester40 - Try going to your local home improvement, or machine tool supply store and picking up a Narrow Brass Drift. Use a piece of electricians tape over the end of it to "Try" to avoid turning the "Struck" side of the sight, Brass colored. It does take a very solid/ sturdy (also protect the slide!) rest for your slide, and a fairly substantial strike to "drift" a dovetailed sight. If all else fails; Kahr has (or at least has recently had) fairly excellent customer service, so you could send it to them.

Good luck. (erh)
