I don't have any information on this, but I think these are excellent ideas - especially the idea of making double-stack 9mm and .40 pistols. I've been tempted to get a Kahr, but I always come back to Kel-tec, because they are lighter, plenty thin, and hold the full 11 rounds of ammo allowed by law. By using a thin metal magazine and grips, Kel-tec was able to keep the grip thin while providing full capacity. And, as an added plus, you can use S&W pre-ban magazines in them. It seems that Kahr makes high-quality pistols, but I must question the company's judgement in not following Kel-tec's example in this regard. I was just considering the new, light, plastic-framed Kahr .40, but was put off again by the low magazine capacity (six, I think). Sure, that's probably enough, but why not apply a little engineering and give us 9 or 10 in the same sized package? And it is still a few ounces heavier, not to mention a lot more expensive, than a Kel-tec.
