K98 mauser

I'm trying to find out what the value is of a K98 mauser. It is a refurbished Yugo 98 but not all numbers are matching. The bolt number is different from all the rest. Aside from that this rifle is in pristine shape with an almost new looking stock. The stamp on the side is Mod 98 not Mod98/48 so from what I have read that means it should have been refurbished before 1950. Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you. Russ

first order of business is to check the distance between the action screws. that determines whether it is a true 98 mauser or a later built one....

If it says Mod 98 it is a refurbished German K98k. I recently sold two of these, got $550 for one, $500 for the other. Like other captured German guns, they are generally scrubbed of any waffenamt stamps and rebarreled. Collectors don't find them really attractive but shooters do.
